All equipment supplied and installed by Howick Automation carries a 12 month warranty cover, commencing from date of installation/commissioning.

Warranty labour is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Warranty works having to be completed outside these hours will be chargeable at the current labour costs.

Warranty labour ‘call out’ response times are as follows:-

• Warranty – With-in 24 working hours, Excluding Bank Holidays.

All calls due to equipment failure where the system has not been subject to user error, misuse or vandalism will be completed free of charge for the 12-month period commencing from the date of completion.

All calls due to misuse or vandalism will be charged at the call out and site/travel labour rates that are current at the time of your visit. Components will be charged at Retail list price.

Any warranty guarantee will be invalid if:

• Installation or maintenance is carried out by personnel not qualified by Howick Automation.
• Repairs are carried out by a person not qualified by Howick Automation.
• Repairs are performed without prior consent of Howick Automation.
• The equipment(s) is/are not maintained in accordance with recommended maintenance schedules/periods.
• The equipment is subject to operational misuse or accidental damage.

Extended warranty cover and routine maintenance agreements are available, please enquire if this service is of interest to you.

SLIDING AND HINGED GATE INSTALLATIONS.

Due to the fact all gate machinery is to be fitted under the machine directives, we cannot guarantee that your current motor drive has the capabilities of complying under a force test (information available if required). After the test is carried out and if failure is noted we may advise a modern motor drive with an encoder function is required.

PLEASE NOTE

Any Warranties or Guarantees will NOT be deemed valid until payment for the equipment/work has been received in full.

EXCLUSION NOTE

We regret the following equipment due to their susceptibility to vandalism, misuse and external influence/factors are supplied or provided with no warranty guarantee:

Traffic Barrier Bottom Skirt – Traffic Barrier Top & Bottom Skirt – Coin Acceptors – Traffic Barrier Arms – Transmitters – Warning Lamps – Photocell Covers.

EXCLUSIONS

• Removal, protection, reinstatement of any fixtures, fittings, internally or externally.
• Delays and disruption caused by unforeseen ground conditions, obstructions and services.
• Breaking out of any obstruction man made or natural.
• Heave protection or desiccated soil.
• Presence of ground water.
• Inclement weather.
• Obtaining approvals and payments of building and other fees.
• Restriction on working time or working days.
• Piles uncovered at any length or diameter.
• Lifting and relaying of pavers to allow installation of induction loops.
• Any final tarmacking of road surfaces.

EXISTING EQUIPMENT

In the event that existing equipment bases, foundations, ducts, electrical supplies, control equipment or wiring has been specified to be re-used, Howick Automation assumes that it is fit for purpose. Howick Automation accepts no liability nor offers warranty guarantees on any existing equipment that is utilised. If at any time, either during or following installation any of the existing equipment is found to be unusable or faulty a further charge will be necessary or alternatively the customer may arrange for this work directly.

In accordance with the supply of machinery directive (safely) regulations 2008, it is a requirement that the end user/customer of all automated physical security systems shall establish a full document maintenance regime in accordance with the manufacture’s recommendations. It is also a requirement of the BS ES 12453 that a bi-annual service of safety systems be carried out by a competent body.

PAYMENT

For first time orders or where credit accounts are not in place, we will require a 30% payment with order.
This can be made by cheque, bank transfer or debit/credit card via the phone (credit card via the phone (credit card payments will incur a 2% fee). Plus final payment within 7 days of completion or stage payments to be agreed.
